Groupe Renault provides vehicles for the training of firefighters in emergency situations

  • Groupe Renault Romania supports the Romanian firefighters involved in the extrication and first aid competition. In the last four editions organized by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the company provided 260 vehicles for this competition to be used in emergency scenarios. The aim is the training of specialized staff for real scale interventions.

    Road safety is part of the social responsibility strategy of Groupe Renault Romania.

    The national competition for extrication and first aid – organized by the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Argeș in partnership with the town of Mioveni started on Wednesday, September 19th.
    For a three-day period, it brings together the best extrication and first aid brigades from Romania. Groupe Renault Romania grants the training support for the paramedical fire brigades and thus provides 27 vehicles for this competition.

    Within the event, the company exhibits vehicles made to cater the special needs of fleet customers: Duster SMURD, Duster Ambulance 4x4, Duster Army, Duster track and Duster Pick-Up. These vehicles are developed by the engineering center, Renault Technologie Roumanie, in partnership with certified car-body builders.
