Groupe Renault donated to his Sanctity Papa Francisc a Duster 4X4 especially designed to fit all of His mobility requirements. The vehicle has been delivered today to the Saint Pope at Vatican by Christophe Dridi, General Director of Groupe Renault Romania and President CEO of Dacia Automobiles SA and by Xavier Martinet, CEO of Groupe Renault Italy with the occasion of a visit to the Pope’s residency at Vatican.
The ’Papamobile’ is white on the exterior and beige on the interior. The model, based on Dacia Duster, is 4,34 metres long and has a width of 1,80 metres.
The vehicle has been transformed by the Prototipes Department along with the Special Adaptation’s team from Dacia and with the bodybuilder Romturingia. The adapted version has five seats and the back seat is very comfortable. The automobile mingles the specific solutions with the accessories designed for the uses accorded by the Vatican: a pavilion with a broad opening, a removable glass superstructure, ground clearance lower with 30 mm than the standard model to facilitate the bord access and to the interior and exterior retention components.
By offering the Papamobile to the Vatican Groupe Renault is actually offering the experience of an auto constructor at the level of Pope Francisc mobility requirements.
’Through this donation made to His Sanctity, Groupe Renault is renewing its strong and continous vow of positioning the Human being at the center of its priorities.’, declared Xavier Martinet, CEO of Groupe Renault Italy.
