GROUPE RENAULT ROMANIA: NEW MANAGEMENT AT GLOBAL BUSINESS SERVICES AND HUMAN RESOURCES

One of Romania's largest employers has a new director of Human Resources. Simona Adelina Popovici takes over the management of the human resources from Dana Oprișan, who becomes the director of Global Business Services Romania.

Dana Oprișan will coordinate the management of Global Business Services (support center for Logistics and Supply Chain, Market Intelligence, Customer Services, Purchasing and Financial), which contributes, from Romania, to streamline the groupe's operations flow worldwide.

Dana Oprișan and Simona Adelina Popovici will be part of Group's country management committee.

Dana Oprișan joined the Group in 2006 as Human Resources Director of the engineering centre, Renault Technologie Roumanie. Later, she was expatriated to France to coordinate a project to streamline human resources processes worldwide. In 2013 she took over the leadership of the Human Resources teams of Groupe Renault Romania. A graduate of the Faculty of Automation and Computers, with 25 years of experience in human resources, Dana was Human Resources Director at Rolem Codlea (part of Draexlmaier Group), Sanex Cluj, Scop Computers and HR manager at MobilRom (Orange România) and Abela Rocas. In 2019, Groupe Renault Romania was designated the Biggest Player in the Economy in a Capital Media Production ranking, and HR Club awarded the company for the project Digital Employee Experience GRR - DEX in the Human Resources Strategy category.

  Prior of joining Groupe Renault Romania Simona Popovici has held the position of Group HR Director within KMG International managing the Global HR function for 17 countries. Simona has had a diverse international career with Coca-Cola Hellenic holding several Group roles abroad in Organizational Development, Rewards and Global Business Partnering. She used to be the HR Director for Romania and Moldova of CCHBC and for Vodafone. Before joining the corporate world, she worked as consultant for international companies and institutions such as USAID, World Bank, Civil Society Development Fund. Simona has graduated the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Faculty of Management, with a diploma in Economical Engineering and Environmental Management and has a master’s degree in Business Administration, from University of Ottawa - École de Étude Commerciale and Romanian Academy of Economic Studies. She is a CIPD Chartered Fellow and also an award winner of several national and international awards, the most recent being the European HR Challange award for the multigenerational work environment from Success Factors and the Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution for HR field granted by Great People Inside.
