Dacia employees, wearing protective equipment, work hard to restyle the new dacigroup.com website! This is how the images that welcomed the site visitors from the 14th up to the 20th of May 2012 can be described. They were part of a teaser campaign for the site re-launch that generated more than 1 million visits! The new website can be accessed as of Monday, the 21st of May.
The relaunch campaign of the daciagroup.com website brought in the spotlight an unusual element. those who during a week were seen working hard for the new website were not walk-on actors, but company employees. There were 7 employees from the 2 plants to be found on the Mioveni industrial site – Dacia Car Plant and Dacia Mechanical and Chassis Plant. “We are very glad that we could involve Dacia employees in this campaign, they acted as if they were professional actors. The campaign idea was suggested by the marketing agency also in charge with the new design of the daciagroup.com website, i.e. iLeo”, declared Anca Oreviceanu, Communications Director Dacia.
The new website, active as of Monday, the 21st of May 2012, comes with a new look in line with the new graphics standards for digital communication of the Dacia brand, but it also brings a better organization and information summary, friendlier for the users: journalists looking for news or clients interested in the company evolution.
"This is only a first step in our new digital strategy. The new daciagroup.com will offer more and more relevant content for its users: be it information, multimedia gallery or sections dedicated to the brands’ fans or to car lovers", pointed out Anca Oreviceanu.
"Pride is the word that best describes what we feel for this project of site relaunch, since Dacia is the most important Romanian brand", declared Mugur Pătraşcu, Managing Partner, iLeo.
daciagroup.com was launched on the 3rd of February 2004 and up to the present has managed to store 180 photo & video galleries and an archive of more than 450 press releases. In 2011, the website registered a monthly average of 32,500 visits according to SATI (Study for Audience and Internet Traffic). Designed, at the beginning, as an information platform for journalists, daciagroup.com currently has a much more diverse target group. The international structure of the public, users accessing the site from countries like France, Italy, Spain and Germany, reflects the brand value of Dacia: a European and connected brand.
Set up in 2005, the interactive marketing agency iLeo passed its “graduation tests” with “Rediscover Romania”, a Petrom campaign also supported by Dacia. 5 Dacia Duster cars were used by the participants in the campaign. iLeo won the title “Agency of the Year 2011” at Internetics Gala Awards for the online industry in Romania.
