The highest road in Romania – Transalpina – was the stage for the 9th and 10th leg of the Dunlop National Hill Climb Speed Championship. Bogdan Rusea, champion in H2 category in 2011, got to the starting grid with the speediest Dacia Logan. Bogdan arrived ahead his fellow competitors with more than 9 seconds in the first leg of the Gorj Cup and on Sunday, the driver Serus Racing Club had the watch stop 2 seconds earlier than on Friday.
The car prepared by Serus is unique in Romania, being the most powerful Logan (190 HP for 8500 rot/ min). The 2012 record of achievements:
- Teliu, 2nd leg – 1st position in the H2 category
- Râșnov, 3rd leg – 1st position in the H2 category
- Râşnov, 4th leg – 1st position in the H2 category
- Rânca, 9th leg – 1st position in the H2 category
- Rânca, 10th leg – 1st position in the H2 category
When a Dacia car is prepared for competition, victory is more than within reach, because of the features recorded in the vehicle’s DNA: reliability and vehicle behavior.
They are of outmost importance. Moreover, the reliability of the Logan prepared by Service
Auto Serus benefited from other validations within the 2 speed races: last year – when it secured the first place in the national championship and the ongoing one.
Towards the end of the race, Bogdan Rusea declared: "The Logan proved once again its reliability and its capacity to perform. It’s a car I can rely on no matter what: rainy days, steep climbing, curves; a car which suits my controlled driving style."
