More than 60 Dacia Logan and at least 150 fans of the model gathered last weekend at Mioveni for the “Logan fans” regional meeting. Participants came from Mioveni and neighboring towns: Pitesti and Curtea de Arges, but also from Bucharest, Ilfov, Valcea or Dolj. On Friday, on the meeting’s agenda, there were two plant visits and competitions, such as the speed competition that took place near the industrial site, between Gate 2 and 3.
Despite the high temperature - some 40oC, 28 Logan fans, out of whom a woman, signed up for the speed competition. For each of the 3 competition groups - 1.4l, 1.5l and 1.6l – there was a winner, and some other 3 winners got special awards: the fastest driver, the most popular driver and the most beautiful Logan. The competitions lasted for almost 2 hours, and the contest opening and closing were paraded by champion Bogdan Rusea, leading driver in the H category of the National hill climb speed championship. His Logan is equipped with a 190 HP engine.
The Serus team and Bogdan Rusea were also accompanied by Bogdan Barbu, driver in the leading team of 2012 Dacia Cup, and organizer of this competition (Mach 1 Sport Management). There were car coffee makers, car vacuum cleaners, exhaust accessories, Platinum engine oil, car decorating kit and car wings, Dacia Logan toy cars and promotional items. Cups and medals were offered by the local government.
The afternoon and the evening were dedicated to kids and music fans. At 7.30 p.m. the platform in front of the House of Culture was swarming with people: kids, grand parents and parents singing, dancing and having their faces painted by Tinker Bell and Peter Pan. Dacia gave presents and balloons to children.
The evening ended in a blaze of glory with a Hara concert and a recital of Andreea Balan and Petrisor, her partner for the TV show “I dance for you”. The initial agenda had Vama and Tudor Chirila for the concert. However, because of health problems, the band leader could not perform the concert at Mioveni. The other band members went on stage, made the announcement and apologized. The audience appreciated the elegant act and the band members got their applause.
Hara’s and Andreea Balan’s concerts kept the public from Mioveni awake, downtown, until midnight. The Hara guys, for the first time in Dacia town, had the audience dance on tunes like “Hora ursarina” or “Muro Shavo”, played in their friend’s memory, Tamango, recently died.
Then, Andreea Bălan and her dancers impressed by the number of stage costumes. Each artistic moment was marked: variety show costumes trimmed with sequins and paste jewelry, Arab veils, flamenco style tiered dress or Gipsy skirts…
The concert was organized with the support of Mioveni Town Hall and Local Council and it had as media partners Kiss FM, Şapte seri and Absolut TV. The tradition of the annual concert organized by Automobile Dacia at Mioveni to celebrate France’s National Day was initiated in 2006, with a concert given by Ştefan Bănică Jr. In the following years, there were Holograf (2007), Voltaj (2008), Aurelian Temişan, Daniel Iordachioaie and the band O-la-l (2009), Direcţia 5 (2010), Bere gratis and Fly Project (2011).
